This technique uses tiny colored dots placed next to each other, so that from a distance, the viewer’s eyes blend the colors, creating a vibrant and vivid visual effect. What is special about Pointillism is not only the technique, but also the philosophy of art:

Each tiny dot of color has its own value, but only when combined can a harmonious whole be formed.

The artist does not impose, but lets the light, vision and emotions of the viewer create the final picture.

This is the art of patience, freedom and connection, where each small dot carries within it the power of resonance.

It is that spirit that makes Dot Painting go beyond the framework of painting, becoming a way of looking at life: every moment, every individual, however small, contributes to creating a brilliant common picture of humanity.

Accompanying Activity: When Art Steps Out of the Frame

Not only stopping at admiring the masterpieces of Dotwork, “Happy Randomness” also brings a series of accompanying activities rich in education and experience, opening the door for the public to truly “live in art”:

Special discussion: Meet and listen to researchers and art lecturers analyze in depth the history, philosophy and values of the Dotwork school. Thanks to this exhibition, the viewer is no longer a traveler standing outside observing, but becomes a person “in the middle”. In the middle of the color dots, in the light, in the silence and random melody. This is an experience of strong communication between all senses:

A rotating, flexible layout: The works are not hung fixedly like traditional paintings but are projected alternately through a digital system, bringing continuous change.

Meticulously modulated light: All light sources at VCCA are adjusted to not cause glare, but to highlight each color dot, so that when the light is tilted, the painting seems to “breathe” and move gently under the viewer’s eyes.

Motion effects & projection screen: Thanks to digital projection technology, the paintings are no longer fixed but can move slightly, overlap, change light, creating a feeling of “randomness” like a miracle happening before your eyes.

Silence & echo between works: The transition time, the break between projection layers and the black and white screen… create a “rest” so that viewers can grasp the echo before moving on to the next work.

Auditory interaction & painting: Music or background sound is skillfully mixed in the projection screen space, so that when you stand in front of a dot painting, you not only see the colors but also “hear” the corresponding vibrations of the work.

Some outstanding works are shown in the exhibition

Below are some works that you should not miss when visiting:

<img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-1487 lazyload" data-src="https://vanart-gallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Tac-pham-tai-Ngau-Bien-Hanh-Phuc.jpg" alt="“Un dimanche après-midi à l’Île de la Grande Jatte” – Georges Seurat" width="900" height="600" data-srcset="https://vanart-gallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Tac-pham-tai-Ngau-Bien-Hanh-Phuc.jpg 900w, https://vanart-gallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Tac-pham-tai-Ngau-Bien-Hanh-Phuc-300x200.jpg 300w, https://vanart-gallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Tac-pham-tai-Ngau-Bien-Hanh-Phuc-768x512.jpg 768w, https://vanart-gallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Tac-pham-tai-Ngau-Bien-Hanh-Phuc-600x400.jpg 600w" data-sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" src="data:image/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==" style="--smush-placeholder-width: 900px;
